8 Tracks Series, Vol. 2 – Call for Contributors!

We’re looking for eight new bands or solo artists to contribute to 8 Tracks Series, Vol. 2.  Once again, we’re looking for previously unreleased songs of any genre and this time connected to themes of healing, renewal, perseverance, journey, or love.  All of these themes play a role in processes of recovery, and of course it is up to you how you interpret them.  The album will be sold to raise funds towards assisting the burn community and given to burn patients and or their family members as a way to help them in their recovery processes.  

If you are interested in contributing, we’d love to work with you!  Ideally, all tracks will be submitted by August 31, 2013 to allow ample time for mastering.  We plan to release the album around Thanksgiving time and are organizing release shows for Cleveland, Columbus, and New York City in December, with dates to be announced.  We’re also looking for help with mastering the album and with cover art so if you or someone you know is interested, please let us know.

Many thanks and a happy new year!

An extra thanks from all of us at 180 Burn Foundation to everyone that came out to our show last Thursday at Mahall’s in Cleveland!  What a blast!  And what a night of great music!  We raised a good chunk of funding for the foundation through the door, raffles, and merchandise sales.

Thanks again to Mahall’s for hosting us and for donating two $25 gift certificate packs.  Thanks also to all the bands for their support and wonderful music!

We’ll be putting out a call for contributors for 8 Tracks Series, Vol 2 in March and plan to release it around Thanksgiving time 2013.  If you or someone you know is interested in contributing music, mastering, mixing, or artwork, please let us know.

Also in 2013 we’ll be moving forward with 501(c)3 certification.  We’ll be working with the Ohio State University Burn Unit to be available to their patients and making connections with other burn units in the country as well.

180 Burn Foundation Benefit and 8 Tracks Series, Vol 1 Release Show at Mahall’s in Lakewood

Join us on Thursday December 27, 2012 at Mahall’s in Lakewood, OH for the Cleveland release of 8 Tracks Series, Vol 1.  We’ll have digital downloads and prints of the cover art for sale and we’ll be raffling off some great items.  Entry is $5 and all proceeds go to support our mission.

Seafair, Nick D’ and The Believers, Musicians Anonymous Cleveland, and Jonn Sokol, all contributors to the compilation, will be performing.  Hope to see you there!
